There’s something about winter that softens the world. The air stills. The leaves fall. And in the heart of Melbourne, on a moody May evening in 2021, Brooke and Nicholas stepped into their forever.
Wrapped beneath a veil under bare branches and scattered rain, their day was cinematic — a love story that didn’t just suit the season, it belonged to it.
How it Started
Brooke and Nicholas first met as teenagers — a story that began at a 13th birthday party and quietly rewrote itself into a lifetime. From that day in 2009 to a proposal at Trentham Falls (complete with a surprise picnic), their relationship has always unfolded with a kind of grounded, tender certainty.
It’s no surprise their wedding followed the same path — elegant, intentional, and deeply felt.
The Ceremony
Two heartfelt ceremonies reflected their shared cultures and traditions — one at St Theresa’s Catholic Church, the other at St Dimitrios Greek Orthodox Church — before the couple made their way to Metropolis to begin the next chapter.
The Styling
In collaboration with Amica Events and Little Floral Soul, Brooke and Nick leaned into a warm winter palette of soft neutrals, blushes and terracotta tones — a striking contrast against the city skyline. Cascading florals lined the bridal table, glowing under candlelight and framed by the floor-to-ceiling windows of Metropolis.
The effect? Intimate, tonal, and modern romance in its purest form.
Cake designer Coco Cakes created a sculptural centrepiece — crisp, minimal, and quietly indulgent — while custom bonbonnieres, handmade by the couple themselves, gave the night its final personal touch.
The Energy
With Hey Jack providing the entertainment (DJ Daman & Harry on sax), the night shifted from elegance to celebration. And if you’re wondering what moment still lives rent-free in their minds? Their first dance — under the lights, surrounded by friends, and lit by indoor fireworks — was unforgettable.
