Real Weddings: Beanca & Steven

A GARDEN INSPIRED CELEBRATION

Every wedding tells a story, and Beanca & Steven’s was one of spring brought indoors. Choosing Metropolis Events as their backdrop, the couple created a celebration where soft florals, white and gold details and an extraordinary ceiling installation transformed the room into a garden suspended above the city.

The ceiling became the defining feature of the space. Delicate white florals were woven through layers of hanging draping, while clusters of illuminated glass spheres floated between them, creating a sense of movement and depth overhead. The installation drew the eye upwards, transforming the architecture of the room and bringing the feeling of an outdoor garden inside.

Below, the floral arrangements introduced a palette of blue, yellow and white, with hydrangeas, orchids and roses adding colour and texture throughout the space. Soft blue blooms brought contrast to the otherwise light palette, while touches of yellow and fresh greenery gave the arrangements a sense of natural movement.

White and gold details carried through the tablescape, adding warmth and refinement to the setting. Against the floor-to-ceiling windows, the crisp palette allowed the city beyond to remain part of the celebration, creating a beautiful contrast between the natural softness of the styling and Melbourne’s urban landscape.

Together, the ceiling installation, suspended florals and considered palette created a garden-inspired celebration without ever leaving the city. Beanca & Steven’s wedding showed how spring can be reimagined indoors – where flowers can bloom overhead, the city becomes part of the setting, and the garden finds a new home above the Yarra.
