When the City Became Their Garden

For Sasha & Thanusanth, their wedding was about honouring tradition while stepping into modern romance. After a heartfelt church ceremony, they brought their guests to Metropolis Events, where the city skyline became the frame for a rose garden in full bloom.

The reception styling was a dream of roses — white, blush, and peach tones layered with dusty rose and terracotta shades. The effect was lush and immersive, turning the venue into a garden that felt abundant, warm, and elegant. Overhead, fringe chandeliers were installed, their cascading texture catching the light and creating movement above the room.

Tables were dressed with precision: gold-rimmed plates, glass chargers, and gold cutlery set against crisp linens, each accented with sculptural rose arrangements and candlelight. At the centre of it all stood a four-tier cake — traditional in silhouette, white with vintage-inspired detailing, a nod to timeless romance.

Personal touches brought the story to life. A custom photo wall gave guests a moment to capture memories, while Sasha’s gown — a bespoke creation by Bernadette Pimenta Couture — was couture artistry in itself, flowing with detail that matched the scale of the celebration.

It was a wedding that seamlessly wove past and present — from the intimacy of the church to the abundance of a city garden suspended above Melbourne.
